Olive wood not only looks great with its unique grain but it is also very hard wearing due to its slow growth. The high oil content of the wood makes it moisture repellent and grippy, a perfect combination for pulling honey from the pot.

To preserve the wood rub it with simple olive or sunflower oil from time to time. Let it then dry before dipping again.
